Manage your digital content

With EdgeRover™, you're in control of the folders and files for your digital items. Personalizing the organization of your content helps you navigate what you’ve stored smoothly. The following content covers how you can create, rename, and move folders and files for better management of your digital items.

Create folders

Folders create a multi-level storage environment for you to maintain related items. For example, a main folder called “Travel” that contains folders of specific places you’ve visited, such as “Spain” or “Eiffel Tower.”

To create a folder:

  1. In the Files tab, tap Plus > Create folder.
  2. Type the desired folder name in the field.
  3. Tap Done.

Rename folders and files

It’s good practice to rename your folders and files with terms you recognize and personally relate to. It’s also useful for when a thumbnail preview isn’t available.

To rename a folder or file:

  1. In the Files tab, tap on the chosen folder or file.
  2. Tap Rename from the actions list.
  3. Type the new name in the field.
  4. Tap Save.

Move folders and files

Move your folders and files to customize how your items are organized. You’re able to create a structure that best suits the types of digital items you've stored.

To move your folders and files:

  1. In the Files tab, tap on the folder or file you want to move.

    You can also perform a long press on the folder or file to put EdgeRover into selection mode, enabling you to choose many items. Select the ones you want to move, and then tap the Move tab.

  2. Tap Move from the actions list.

    If the folder or file is shared, an alert appears with a warning that other users lose access to them if they’re moved.

  3. Tap the folder you want to move the folder or file to, or tap New folder to create a new folder for the file.

  4. Tap Move here.
