Browse by category
Browsing by category is a great way to find files, especially if you know the file type, like a document, presentation, or spreadsheet. EdgeRover™ organizes and manages related groups with several common categories. For example, EdgeRover™ automatically categorizes the following cataloged items:
- Photos (e.g., JPG, JPEG, TIF, or TIFF)
- Videos (e.g., M4V or MOV)
- Audio (e.g., MP3, WMA, MPEG3, M4A, WAVX, or WAVE)
- Books (e.g., EPUB, AZW, AZW1, AZW3, or AZW4)
- Documents (e.g., DOC, DOCM, DOCX, or GDOC)
- PDFs – (e.g., PDF)
- Spreadsheets – (e.g., XLS, XLSX, XLSB, XLSM, or GSHEET)
- Presentations – (e.g., PPS, PPT, PPTX, or GSLIDES)
Categories are available right from the Home tab, under “Categories.” Simply select a category and EdgeRover™ shows you all the files you have that fit into that particular category.
EdgeRover can access, preview, or play an impressive variety of file types, but not all. Some video and audio formats can’t be played, some file types might lack thumbnails, and some have OS-specific limitations.
Tip: When you tap a category, EdgeRover presents you with the optimal view for that type of content, such as a list for files or a grid for photos. However, you can tap the Listor Grid
icons to switch.
