Social media and cloud storage
EdgeRover™ works with social media and cloud storage services to improve your content management experience. Your original photos and videos are imported from the social service providers on your device to be accessed in EdgeRover.
The following devices support social media and cloud storage:
- SanDisk® ibi™
- My Cloud™ Home
- My Cloud Home 2.0
To add your accounts to EdgeRover, tap Social and Cloud import under “Actions” on the Home tab. Currently, the following third-party services are supported:
Social media import:
- Google Photos
Cloud storage sync:
- Dropbox
- Google Drive
When you tap the toggle on for a provider, a prompt appears that mentions EdgeRover wants to use the provider’s website to sign in. Signing in connects the accounts so that your information can be shared. After you’ve signed in, the import process begins and you’re notified when it’s complete. You can see the percentage of progress under the provider's name. From this point onward, any new content you add to the social media or cloud service is automatically imported into EdgeRover.
Import error
If an error occurs, a prompt appears and a message under the provider’s name shows “Import error
.” Tap the error message to expand it for more details about what went wrong. You can
choose to try the import process again.
Disable provider
To disable a provider, tap the toggle off. Keep in mind that EdgeRover stops importing new content, but content that’s already imported is saved.
